This is a picture of all my gear in my room at home before I managed to fit it in my bags…..

Couldn’t believe it all fit in!! I had 60 kilos of luggage and was very worried that I would have to pay loads of excess baggage. However lucky for me the wonderful lady at check in charged me nothing wahooo first time ever.

So since arriving at Kathmandu Dawa and I have been shopping and getting things organised for our trip. It was so great to see him again! I got a new pair of Millet boots which are the warmest ones you can buy because my last pair on Everest were a bit small so I lost my toenail in them……they are also a lot colder because they are a bit tight.

The company I use for the logistics has two Canadians that are going to Manaslu also, so we all need to trek in together. They aren’t arriving until the 7th and we will leave on the 10th. So Dawa and I decided we would fly into Lukla tomorrow and do a 10 day acclimatisation trek up to Thame, over Renjo Pass to Gokyo and back. This will really help me to be stronger on the mountain.

This is a photo of my friend Michelle and I at her hotel in Thamel. The Courtyard Hotel is such a beautiful place to hang out and relax and it just feels as though I am at home. I am lucky to be able to come back again before we head to Manaslu. Tonight Pujan her husband is cooking Australian steaks on the BBQ which is awesome.

So of course when I arrived I had to unpack everything and now I am packing my trekking pack for tomorrow. Then when we come back I will pack for Manaslu which will be a lot more equipment. So sick of packing and organising! Cant wait to just hit the trail. Ok just a short update for everyone because not so much exciting news just yet!! Will probably blog again either on our trek or when I get back here to Kathmandu. Take care folks Smile
